Me And My Drummer release debut album

After their last bomb single success “You’re A Runner“, Me And My Drummer are going to release their debut “The Hawk, The Beak, The Prey” on Berlin label Sinnbus. Excerpts from the video of the second single, “Heavy Weight”, can be seen here in the video teaser of the album.

The album will be released on 11th May in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and on 21st September in the UK, France and Italy. The band will undertake a live tour to tie in with the release. Dates are here.

Originally performed by Mickey and Sylvia, Budde Music classic ‘Love Is Strange‘ is sampled in ‘Back In Time’ by U.S. rapper Pitbull. The track is also the title song from the 3rd in the ‘Men In Black’ film series, screening from 24th of May. Shortly after the song’s release it jumped into the iTunes sales charts at the Top 10.

Budde Music represents the title “Love Is Strange” via Sugar Hill Publishing.

Budde Music : album chart entries for Motor’s ‘Man Made Machine’ and Roman Lob’s ‘Changes’.

The album of Germany’s Eurovision representative Roman Lob immediately jumped in at number 9 in the official German album sales chart. Album opener “Call Out The Sun” was co-written by Budde Music writer Duncan Townsend.

Motor’s album also entered the international sales charts: At Amazon Germany and Amazon UK it climbed to pole position in the Techno chart and into the Top 10 at Beatport. Furthermore, the single “Man Made Machine” featuring Depeche Mode singer Martin L. Gore has entered the international dance charts. Budde Music represents the work of Motor worldwide excluding U.S.A. and Canada.

Falco documentary wins ‘Television Award’

Budde Music congratulates the makers of the documentary ‘Falco 3 – Eine Spurensuche’ which premiered at the prestigious Chicago International Film Festival – one of the world’s major film festivals. The Austrian production won a Gold Award in the category ‘Special Achievement: Direction / Best Director’ and the Silver Award in the category ‘Best Music Video’ for the specially produced new version of ‘Rock Me Amadeus’.

This was the 48th annual Chicago International Film Festival. The jury comprised respected film professionals such like Oscar winner Jiri Menzel, America’s No. 1 film critic and Pulitzer Prize-winner Roger Ebert, plus film director Woody Allen.

The documentary is part of the 6-disc DVD ‘Falco – Superstar & Rockidol’ released on the occasion of the 55th birthday of the now deceased singer and can be ordered via Amazon. Budde Music represents the works of Rob Bolland, writer of Falco hits ‘Rock Me Amadeus’ and ‘Jeanny’.

Klaus Hoffmann’s ‘Mit Freunden’ back in sales charts

Klaus Hoffmann is back in the sales charts with his release ‘Mit Freunden’ in at 88.

The album contains the recording of the birthday concert from May 26, 2011, which took place on the 60th birthday of the singer, actor and author. In addition to Hoffman himself, guest artists also featured Herman van Veen, Reinhard Mey and Caroline Brünken, Hoffmann’s duet partner on the 2010 album “Das süße Leben”. The album was released on Stille Music and is available via Amazon as a CD or DVD.

Budde Music jazz classic title ‘Style’ in new Volkswagen advertisment

The latest advert for VW’s CC campaign features Budde Music’s jazz classic ‘Style’ performed by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosy and Dean Martin. The song has been featured since February of this year and the spot (which can be seen here) is still running on German TV.

‘Style’ was written by Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen and is represented by Budde Music via Van Heusen Music.
